He later Died Enteric on 08/02/1902 at Heilbron

He is commemorated on a plaque in All Saints Church Which reads : "IN LOVING MEMORY OF Sqdn SERGT MAJOR FREDERICK W. CREW (6th ENNISKILLEN DRAGOONS) WHO DIED FEB 8th 1902 OF ENTERIC AT HEILBRON, SOUTH AFRICA AFTER 2 YEARS 4 MONTHS ACTIVE SERVICE AGED 32 YEARS YOUNGEST SON OF THOMAS AND MARTHA CREW OF THIS PARISH"
